Amherst Jazz Orchestra
Founded and headed by bandleader Dave Sporny, this professional big band plays a wide array of music, from rare and historical big band works to some of the newest original contemporary jazz. AJO performs on the first and third Monday of each month, and has quite an enthusiastic following! Therefore, we encourage everyone to come early to get a good seat, as we do not accept reservations for this event. Starts at 7:30 PM.
Man vs. Wolf vs. Machine - Darby Wolf & Makaya Macraven
In a rare trip back to original digs, Mak teams up with the Wolf's killer keyboard arsenal to deliver a night of old school-informed future funk. Expect big things. Oh, and don't forget to brush off your funk boots. Show starts at 10 PM. FREE.

TASTE OF AMHERST - 2012
Join us at the 21st Annual Taste of Amherst!
We will be serving beer in the beer tent on Thursday from 5 to 9 PM, Friday from 5 to 10 PM and Saturday from 4 to 10 PM. The beer tent is located across from the main event area. No beer will be served on the Amherst Town Common!!!
At our food booth we will be featuring cheeseburgers, foot-long hot dogs, and our award-winning pulled pork chili!
Did you know the Amherst Area Chamber of Commerce hosts one of the last Tastes in the Pioneer Valley? It’s true! And this year’s event — the 21st Annual Taste of Amherst — will beat all others by being bigger, better, and tastier.
The Taste of Amherst is a signature community event filled with food, family, and fun. The event is held on the beautiful, pedestrian-friendly Amherst Town Common, which is bordered by favored area attractions such as the historic Lord Jeffery Inn and the prominent Amherst College.
